Restaurant Alus arsenals ( in Latvian meaning Beer Arsenal) is located in the Old Riga, near the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Latvia, on the quiet Arsenāla Street.
Building, in which the restaurant is situated, has been built already in 1750. In these days of old there was a hotel Petersburg — the very first hotel in Riga. Initially the building had two stores; afterwards it was rebuilt several times. The building obtained the present shape in 1874, when two more stores and the attic were built.

Latvian designers worked hard to create a new style of the beer restaurant: oak tables with inbound legs, hand-made oak chairs, original hand-made lamps, mural paintings and stained glass – appearance of the premises allow to relax from day-to-day rush, to meet friends and dear ones.
During the beer tasting you will not only try several sorts of beer, but will also have to figure our which beer is Latvian, which beer is Finnish and which – German.
